Great blog! I have been boycotting NBC based on the hack job they did on Dateline several months ago. Every nasty and negative thing that they could infer about Michael...they did! I wrote NBC and dateline and I still have not watched anything on the network. Keep it up, Mel!!!Nita
I love your new website and your blog. You are so right, when will they leave him alone? We must stay strong for him and only grow together as a family and share the l.o.v.eMichael would love what you and his fans are doing, we must continue to make him proud. Thanks Mel for all you do!
Hi. I have to say, I SO agree with you. It's disgraceful what the so-called news shows do to Michael and his legacy. Ugh. I know it sounds crazy to my friends, especially for someone who was always watching TV as a kid, but the reality is I don't anymore. I gave it up. After they ganged up on Michael during that horrible trial he was put through, I just decided, "the heck with the TV." All Michael was to them was fodder for their sensationalism. :( That is just plain dispicable.Anyway, hang in there and keep the faith!
WHAT YOU SAID IS SO TRUE,THAT THE MEDIA SHOULD LEAVE HIM ALONE.HE DEALT WITH ALL OF THIS WHEN HE WAS ALIVE AND HONESTLY,I DON'T KNOW HOW HE DID IT WITHOUT REALLY LOOSING HIS COOL,BUT THAT WAS THE KIND OF PERSON HE WAS,BUT ON THE INSIDE,IT WAS TEARING HIM APART.IF THE PEOPLE AT EXTRA COULD ONLY SEE THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO HIS CHILDREN.THE SADDEST THING IS,HE CAN'T EVEN BE AT PEACE IN DEATH.
While he was alive he defended himself. Now that he is gone, we have to do it for him. We have to defend this humanitarian, this compassionate and caring man. This man who did everything humanly possible to help those in need. This man who had nothing but love in his heart for his fellow human beings. I stopped buying those magazines during his trial. I would watch the ent programs to see him but with the volume turned down. Now, I am still watching them but with the volume up so that every time there is a negative report I would contact them and voice my objection. I also contact websites such as mjtruthnow.com and twitter As many MJ fans as there are out there, we will make a difference. Let's keep up the fight and finally put an end to the horrific wrongs being done to this gentle man.
I think all this is lovely, but I have to ask...like all those who are coming forward after Michael's death, where was this woman when Michael was alive? Why fight now and not right after the trial to clear Michael's name when he was alive?? It just seems all his 'friends' walked away from him in the last ten years of his life, and are now surfacing to praise Michael and fight for his legacy. Nice afterthought. Sorry but I am angry that Michael had no one supporting him until he died.
Shari,Please read up on Azja- Azja has been Speaking out for Michael's behalf for many, many yearsIt was her testimony that helped clear Michael of the molestation chargesShari - do not judge Azja - we all should be thanking her!!!
Sorry but it was Tom Mesereau who cleared Michael, along with a horrid prosecutorial case. Azja is just another person looking for attention from the death of Michael Jackson. Again, where were all these people, where were all of you, prior to Michael's death? What you all are doing is nice, but too little too late for Michael. He needed all this then. Aphrodite stated no one was there for Michael after that trial, and this includes Azja. Peace be with you all. Enjoy your fight, something Michael could have used 5 years ago.
sorry, shari - but you are way off here! Both Tom Mesereau and Aphrodite credit Aza's testimony for helping to turn the case around for MJ.Here is a question - what did you do to help MJ 5 years ago and what are you doing today?I'm interested! and it is curious that you are putting motives to Azja, someone you have never had a discussion with!I have and I can tell you - she is the real deal!and by the way it is not "my fight" - it is fight by concerned fans of Michael jackson
Yes, its also my fight - being a fan and I for one would rather not knock the people who are standing up for him because there are not enough of them!! Azja did what was right in 2005 and she did it AGAIN by writing this letter.
I am not a fan, just someone who feels Michael was innocent, that his death was senseless, and feel he deserved all this backing five years ago. Flashing support after the fact or seeking justice when he needed justice and an apology after the 2005 trial seems mute at this point because in reality he died five years ago, broken, due to lack of support. And Mac Culkin was also responsible for assisting with Michael's not guilty verdict yet he remains a silent friend, not one exploiting the situation. I am not bashing anyone, just looking at the whole and not selective parts. Again, much luck with your endeavors...I stand behind my opinion and that is Michael Jackson needed support after the trial, and he is dead due to lack of support. Where were you five years ago? I would wager you were not out in public showing support for Michael Jackson...
Shari,With all due respect, you do not know, what the hell you are talking about.Since you do not know me or anything about me or my commitment to anyone. DO NOT presume to question , my question my commitment to MJ after the trial.I would compare all my efforts since 2005 for MJ- against all your efforts - and I would guarantee , you would come up short.
@Shari - what you obviously dont know is Azja sat in the hospital with gavin for a very long time - Mac did not. Azja is personally connected to this and doesnt need to exploit it, she is in fact trying to help Michael. Too bad you cant see the good in people.
While I will agree with Shari that Michael needed this support in the past, he certainly needed it and didn't get it right after the trial, I believe he was still supported by fans. People like Mac and Chris Tucker who testified were around his life prior to the trial and afterward. I also feel angry that Michael didn't get more support from people close and around him--which aren't the fans--we can only do so much. He was failed by a lot of people who called themselves his friends. Liz was the only constant. Also, he actually 'died' in 2001 when Sony went after him. He had a slow death for almost 9 years. I applaud Tom and Aphrodite. And while Aphrodite had decided he was guilty, she at least had the intelligence to see through the lies and gather information on her own, and then to stick up for him furthers my respect for her. But, it's not just that Michael died, it's the fact that lies continue about him on a level that is still unheard of for a celebrity. I have never seen an entertainer be attacked with such fervor as Michael. 'Jacko' him being gay or asexual, him being a pedophile, a drug addict, not the father of his kids and broke financially are lies that need to stop, stop, stop. If Michael died, and the world mourned and we moved on that would be one thing, but he died and tabloids jumped on the gossip bandwagon. We lost a hero, someone too special to this world and we'll never see the likes again. It's not enough that he's dead but the constant barrage of lies and gossip create a rage in me that I can't explain. He deserves better, he gave so much of himself to the world and he deserves respect as a human and for being the greatest entertainer this planet will ever see. Continued humiliation and dehumanization in death is just mean and disgusting.---Dedra
